Free RAM TargetŪ Tours for Kids

The Racine Art Museum is pleased to announce a continuing partnership with Racine's local Target® to provide art experiences for any local public or private school, day care, after-school or home-schooled children's group. RAM Target® Tours for Kids provides a free docent-guided tour of RAM's downtown location to all grades K-12.

Students learn all about the current exhibitions, the artists, the media and the techniques involved in the creation of the artworks on display. At the conclusion of the tour, students are invited to return with their families to participate in the museum's free upcoming hands-on art events.

 

TOUR GUIDELINES

  • Tours are offered Tuesday or Friday between 9:30 am and 4:00 pm.
  • Please plan on arriving promptly at your scheduled time, guided tours are 45 minutes long.
  • There is a 10 student minimum - 60 student maximum per visit.
  • One adult chaperone for every 10 students is required, chaperones are also free!
  • A packet and confirmation letter will be sent two weeks prior to the scheduled tour. The packet will include a list of museum rules, information about the current exhibitions and an informative DVD for students to preview prior to the visit.
