Polymer: The Journey to New Terrain

RAM has received a major collection of artworks created in polymer to establish this material in our permanent collection. We are announcing the arrival of these gifts with a debut exhibition Terra Nova: Polymer Art at the Crossroads opening October 21.
We invite you to join us for a very special weekend to celebrate the exhibition and accompanying 140-page book published by RAM.
Exhibition Preview Reception
RAM Members only
Friday 5:30 to 7:30 pm
Booksigning at 6:45 pm
Be the first to tour the exhibition and meet several of the artists featured in the show. Purchase the accompanying book and stay for the booksigning.
Polymer Symposium
The centerpiece of the weekend will be a symposium titled Polymer: The Journey to New Terrain held at The Johnson Foundation at Wingspread, a 14,000 square-foot home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in the 1930s.
The symposium consists of sessions on the polymer field so far, the arrival of polymer in museums, and the future of polymer. Numerous polymer artists and leaders will be on panels providing in-depth discussions on the medium and the Polymer Collection Project.
Weekend Package
Includes all sessions at Wingspread, exhibition preview reception at RAM, and tours of Wingspread. Private accommodations for one in a room with a queen-sized bed, all meals, snacks and evening hospitality. Also includes round-trip transportation between Milwaukee's Mitchell Airport and Wingspread, and between Wingspread and RAM. This option is no longer available.
Saturday Sessions - $115
Includes Friday exhibition preview reception at RAM, Saturday morning and afternoon sessions at Wingspread with snacks and buffet lunch. No transportation or lodging provided.
